This policy explains what data is processed when you visit caninpedia.com (“Caninpedia”, “we”). We collect as little as possible.

Who is responsible

Caninpedia is responsible for the processing described here. For any privacy question or request, write to contact@caninpedia.com.

Data processed when you visit

• Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request, in order to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. These logs are kept for a short period and are not used to identify you.
• Fonts. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address.
• Emails. If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to reply, and delete them when they are no longer needed.

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not sell your data.

Cookies and analytics

Caninpedia currently sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics or tracking tools. If we add audience measurement in the future, we will update this policy and, where required by law, ask for your consent first.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

This section will apply once advertising is enabled on Caninpedia.

We plan to show ads provided by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to Caninpedia and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, and learn more in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, ads will only be personalised with your consent, collected through a consent banner that lets you accept or refuse advertising cookies and change your choice at any time.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Union or another region with similar laws, you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability. Where processing relies on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise these rights, contact contact@caninpedia.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

The legal bases we rely on are our legitimate interest in running a secure website (server logs, fonts) and your consent (advertising cookies, once enabled).

Changes

We may update this policy, for example when advertising is enabled. The date of the latest version is shown at the bottom of this page.
