Caninpedia is an independent, multilingual dog breed encyclopedia, published in French, Arabic, English and Spanish. It helps future and current owners understand what each breed is really like to live with: temperament, health, feeding, exercise and grooming.

Caninpedia is not affiliated with any breeder, kennel club, pet food brand or marketplace, and no breed profile is sponsored.

How our profiles are written

• Every profile is written specifically for Caninpedia; we do not copy text from other websites or books.
• Measurements (height, weight, life expectancy) follow widely accepted breed standards. When sources disagree, we give a range rather than a single figure, and we never invent statistics.
• The trait ratings (energy, trainability, grooming needs and so on) are editorial scores from 1 to 5, meant to help you compare breeds, not to describe any individual dog.
• Health sections stay general. They describe conditions commonly reported in a breed and always recommend consulting a veterinarian; they are not veterinary advice.

Breed photos come from Wikimedia Commons, Unsplash or Pexels, or are provided by their owners. We only use images whose license allows reuse (such as CC0, CC BY or CC BY-SA). The author, the license and a link to the original file are shown under every photo.
